Wash Water Recycling System

General Capabilities

The wash water recycling system shall be designed, supplied and installed in such a manner as to permit reuse of all wash waters that are recoverable within the wash area of the wash bay. The system shall be capable of removing 95% of suspended solids having a specific gravity of 2.7 or greater, and as small as 24 microns in size. The system shall include means for dewatering the sludge and delivering same to a disposal container (container by purchaser) extending interval between periodic sludge removal from pits or sumps. In general, the equipment shall include the following:

• 1. Sump pump, centrifugal separators and conveyorized sludge dewatering tank shall be furnished as a package unit with all components factory piped and wired on a structural steel supported stand.
• 2. Sump pump shall be centrifugal, self-priming type driven by a 10 horsepower open drip proof motor.
• 3. (1) Lot of centrifugal separator assemblies of cast iron, rubber lined construction, complete with adjustable purge control on the underflow.
• 4. Conveyorized sludge dewatering tank complete with 1/3 horsepower driven flight conveyor, weirs, skimmer plates, overflow and all necessary valves and controls. Tank to be an integral part of the pump and separator package.
• 5. (1) Lot of pressure differential control valves, shut-off valves, basket strainers, level controls, solenoid valves and fittings.
• 6. Prewired control panel in NEMA #12 enclosure housing all motor starters, relays, fuse blocks, timers and mainline through the door disconnect.
• 7. Wash water pump, self-priming type, driven by a 10 horsepower open drip proof motor, 200 gallons per minute at 60 PSIG. (1) Pump for each wash lane.

Warranty

The wash water recycling system shall be warranted against defective parts and faulty workmanship for a period of twelve months from the date of start-up. This warranty shall consist of the replacement and installation of defective assemblies or parts without cost to the owner for a period of 90 days. From 91 days to 365 days after start-up, the warranty shall consist of replacement of parts only at no cost to the owner. This warranty shall not cover malfunctions of valves due to foreign objects in the supply lines, malfunctions due to freezing, malfunctions due to maladjustments of controls because of tampering by unauthorized personnel, or malfunctions due to misuse or abuse of the equipment.
